My Story

Ever since I can remember I have loved to sing. One of my earliest memories of my childhood is sitting on the floor of my bedroom in Harare, Zimbabwe, with one of those suitcase type gramophones and listening to “Two little boys had two little toys” on repeat. Then when I was about 14, I persuaded my mum to buy me a guitar and it has given me years and years of pleasure and comfort and I often thank my mum for buying me that first guitar.

In about 2013 I wanted to start writing my own songs and so I set about learning all I could about the art of songwriting. Then I wanted to record those songs so I studied everything I could about home recording. Then I wanted release those songs and that brought me to Unique Music and, in between my “real” job of being a Business Analyst and my other job of being a wife and mother, I have released hundreds of songs, both covers and originals with the help of the wonderful software called Band-in-a-Box.

In 2019 I became a reseller of this wonderful product. Band-in-_box is simply the best auto-accompaniment tool on the web! You simply type the chords of your song into an easy to use interface, select a style and, bingo, you have a beautiful backing track with real musicians playing instruments of your choice along with your chord progression, tempo, and key. It really is that easy. I have been a dedicated Band-in-a-Box user since 2012 and have produced hundreds of songs, both covers, and originals using this unique tool. I have also produced a video course and an e-Book and have gathered a huge archive of Band-in-a-Box songs. When you purchase Band-in-a-Box from me, you will automatically be given a "starter kit" of the eBook, video course, and a few of my personal Band-in-a-Box songs.

Then we have my Guitar Karaoke on Youtube. A few years ago I started making play-along videos with scrolling chords and lyrics, karaoke-style, of the backing tracks of the songs in my setlist. The idea was that I could take these videos along to my gigs and I would not need a separate MP3 player and songbook. Then I had the thought that other people would enjoy these videos and I started uploading them to Youtube. Since then the channel has gone from strength to strength with over 20,000 subscribers and 28 million views. You can subscribe to YouTube channel here. If you would like to support the channel you can join my Patreon page for as little as $1 per month.

I believe everyone can make music. I think we all have it in us and my mission is to encourage people, whatever their level of musicianship to simply start playing. With this in mind, I have created a FaceBook community where I post a song challenge every day and group members come on the group and post a video or live sessions of their own acoustic guitar performance of the song. Any level of guitar player is most welcome! You can join the group here https://www.facebook.com/groups/song-a-day-challenge
